I ordered this mostly because my curiosity got the better of me. The whole idea sounded like hocus pocus to me, and I honestly was not convinced that touching a plant was going to turn on a light. Still, it was too weird and interesting not to try. When it arrived, I was impressed with how nice it looked right out of the box. The ceramic planter and wood base give it a clean, high quality look, and it feels more like a fun conversation piece than some cheap novelty gadget. We planted aloe in it since that was one of the recommended options, and the setup itself was simple enough…..

This planter has a beautiful design and a nice touch with the LED light coming out from the bottom part of it. I followed instructions adding a bed of pebbles at the bottom, some Spanish moss and the appropriate subtract for my orchid. It looks very nice and very stylish. Even if the “magic touch” does not work all the time (or most of the time for what matters), it is a nice night stand lamp that you can use in your living room on a side table. There is a switch to turn the light on/off that you can use just in case…

I bought the Magic Plantern as a gift for someone who loves plants, and it turned out to be a really unique little lamp. The concept is what makes it stand out, you actually touch the real plant leaf to turn the light on and off, which is a fun feature and definitely gets people’s attention. The ceramic pot and wooden base look nice and feel well made. It doesn’t feel cheap, and the size is perfect for a desk, nightstand, or small table. The light itself gives off a soft, cozy glow that works well as accent lighting rather than something super bright….
